Little Heaven Preschool History

Little Heaven Preschool opened its doors in 2008 with just a vision and a love for children, to watch them grow and reach their goals, no money and no equipment. What made me do it? I have two sons and my experience with day-care has not been good. I promised myself that my second child would not be put into day-care or preschool unless he could talk and tell me that he is not treated well. I wanted to provide an environment in which every child, just as mine, was well taken care of. As a single mom, I moved from Malalane to Nelspruit. My first son and a friend’s child were the first two at Little Heaven. With my eight years of experience in a preschool environment, my hard work paid off and within two months, I had 10 kids enrolled in the school. My effort was noticed, and word of mouth saw the school grow from part school and part living accommodation. I realized that a huge need existed for a safe, loving and affordable –home-away-from-home center. Every month I erected something new on the playground and bought more educational equipment and toys. I eventually moved out of the house, and it became a proper school. In January of this year, Little Heaven Preschool celebrated 15 years in the industry, earning a reputation as one of the best privately-owned day-care centers and preschools in Nelspruit.
